In a world where Fae Folks dominate Monsterkind, and Vampire Mafia plagues the country, Fay, a little paper-pusher working at a police precinct of New Orc, can no longer hide her feelings for a Special Ops named Tyke. 

She tried, though. 

Failed miserably.

Fay knows she shouldn't be talking to him. Shouldn't be seeing him. Shouldn't be sleeping with him. 

Him. An Orc. The wretch of society.

And yet, how could she not? He's everything her heart needs to keep beating. Because sadness screams from the depths of her soul, her darkest secret.

And while she hides it under a blanket woven with social specism and mental struggles, shadows of war keep growing over New Orc.

Despite this, Fay and the rest of Monsterkind continue to live their lives, fending ignorance, mostly in denial of a brutal past.

Unfortunately, one can only delay the inevitable.

As they face a society rife with prejudice, little do they know about the danger lurking in the dark - a threat hatched by claws and fangs.
It won't back down from its prey...especially when it is not only cute, loving, and sensitive but far more than meets the eye.
